Our Vision
Gideon Orphanage Home is a subsidiary of GIVING HANDS, it is a non governmental orphanage home approved by the Ogun State Government. Gideon Orphanage has a vision to help take orphans, abused and abandoned children off the streets through rehabilitation, reformation and reintegration. Giving them better opportunities in life with regards to:
- Food
- Portable Water
- Shelter
- Clothing
- Medicare
- Education
These opportunities will be provided in a home filled with love and care, enabling the children become valuable members of society. Rehabilitation: The children would be rehabilitated under the most conducive environment and shown unconditional love. Reformation: This would be achieved through education and extra curricula activities. Education is the best investment any child could have. This project is designed to help train the children as far as the university level in any chosen career of their choice, with the help of a counselor. Reintegration: Some of the children would be reintegrated into the society through adoption and fostering. We hope to partner with the Ogun State Government, Corporate bodies, Religious groups and Social philanthropic organisations (for the adoption and fostering process). We strongly believe these children need to live in a homely environment with lots of love and care, this would enable them adjust well in adulthood. In addition we hope to remove the stigma attached to the "orphan status" by creating a leverage that will promote equality amongst these children and their peers all over the world. Our Challenges include funds, facilities and infrastructures to provide quality care, education and support these children deserve. As we progress with this great vision, we trust God that you would be a part of this noble cause to put a smile on the faces of the children. We invite you to be a part of our dream of a greater Nigeria devoid of street urchins, beggars and homeless children labouring for little or nothing in abominable conditions.
